Dad and Russell come to stay!
Look at them. My knights in shining armour come to fit my kitchen!
They did a brilliant job, as you can see in the rest of the photos. My brother, Russell, and my Dad, John, who have driven the whole way up from the bottom end of Cornwall to stay and fit the kitchen this weekend. It looks fabulous and we are so happy with it. Who knew I had such a talented brother and who knew he had such a hard working labourer!

Another weekend of activity
Paul prepares to paint the bathroom.
Plaster drying in front room.
The toilet is coming along bit by bit.
The bedroom has some colour.
The kitchen has been plastered.
Alison (Paul's sister) up a ladder. The photo ban has been lifted - but only from the back!

We got the kitchen in.
Well, in a manner of speaking!
Friday we got the last long bits (plinths and things). It was a bit of a squeeze in the car!
We have bought almost all of it now - just realised yesterday that we seem to have forgotten the taps and sink!
The worktops were delivered on Friday and are living in the hall as they are too long to go anywhere else!

Replacing the fascias
Now we have nice new white plastic fascias on the house. Unfortunately they managed to hit the bathroom window by hitting it with a hammer but also bashed a pane of glass in the greenhouse! They are coming back this week to sort them out for us.

Manic Thursday
Loads going on at the house on Thursday!
The lino man turned up on time but with completely the wrong lino.Paul sent him packing and he came back later with the right stuff!

Adventures in plumbing
This was the kitchen when we had taken out the sink. We had got some stopper things but one of the joints in the pipe was leaking and it meant that we could not have the water on.
This is it after we took my wonderful bother's advice and cut the pipes and attached two isolation valves. Now we have water on in the house and we don't have to pop home everytime we need the toilet!
